A wall divider is better than just using a screen, because a wall divider runs from ceiling to floor. When I needed to create a home office in a small house, I create a simple wall divider, to set my desk and computer apart from the rest of my bedroom. But I did it without blocking the light. It was cheap (because I was pretty much broke) and it was easy (because I had little free time).
