Make over your Free Furniture Finds - with a little bit of sandpaper, primer & spray paint you can turn so-so pieces of furniture into a WOW!

Materials
Wooden Desk
Wrought Iron Chair
Mild Grit Sandpaper
Rust-Oleum's Rusty Metal Primer
Painter's Touch 2X in Wildflower Blue and Colonial Red
3" Foam for seat Custion 1" Foam for Back of Seat
MDF Board cut to size to fit seat & backing
Fabric of your choice to re-cover chair
Staple gun
Project Steps
Lightly sand desk
Wipe free and clean of all dust and dirt
Spray two light coats of Rust-Oleum's 2X in Wildflower Blue
Sand down wrought iron chair
Wipe free and clear of all dust & dirt
Spray cleaned chair with Rust-Oleum's Rusty Metal Primer
Allow to fully cure per manufacturer's recommendations
Measure & cut MDF board to fit the seat as well as back of chair
Cut & attach cushion to MDF board
Double check to make sure both pieces of cut MDF board fit into the seat & backing of chair
Once checked, wrap fabric around each cushion and staple onto MDF Board
Do not attach re-upholstered seat or backing just yet
Spray chair with Painter's Touch 2X in Colonial Red - 2 light coats may be needed
Once fully cured, permanently attach reupholstered seat & backing to chair with screws.
